Library News

As you may have seen on RioTV this morning, our library is officially open for you to check out books to read at home!

Students will be able to log into our library catalog, browse everything we have to offer, and put books on hold.

On Thursdays from 12pm-3pm they can stop by our campus and the books will be delivered directly to their car. Students can borrow up to four books at a time.

There are two methods for students to place books on hold:

1. (Preferred Method) They can go directly to our catalog of books here: (Destiny: http://bit.ly/RNCatalog)
Once there, they will need to log in using their eight digit student ID and six digit birthdate. They can then search and find a book or books by author, genre, title, etc., Once they find a book they want, they will click the "Hold" button. That's all they need to do! We will then process the request and put the book aside for them.
There is also a great selection of eBooks available for the students to read right through that website!
Here's a video with a full walkthrough to help walk them through the process: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WxJqoONGDMrPQMM4vFwhaoBe8yQ_9hNX/view?usp=sharing

2. Or, students can be directed to our Google Forms document: http://bit.ly/RNBookHold
They can then browse our catalog of books and choose which books they would like to put on hold and submit it through this Form. (This method is a little more time consuming, since students need to take down information on their own and copy it into our form, but the layout of the library catalog is the format they are used to in our physical library.)

Good Luck and happy reading!!!!
